MiFID Overview
The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) is a European Union law which provides a harmonised regulatory
regime for investment services across the 30 member states of the European Economic Area
(the 27 Member States of the European Union plus Iceland, Norway and Liechtenstein).
The main objectives of the Directive are to increase competition and consumer protection in investment services.
As of the effective date, 1 November 2007, it replaced the Investment Services Directive (ISD).
The following sections set out Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. (London Branch), 'Terms of Business' and 'Order Execution Policy'.
Terms Of Business
This describes the terms on which business will be conducted between Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. and its clients.
This, however is subject to any bilaterally agreed terms of business, which may be entered into with clients as and
when appropriate.

Order Execution Policy
This describes how Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd. would execute trades with or on behalf of its clients.
This takes into consideration the Best Execution provisions as espoused by MiFID.
